Repsol Honda HRC achieve first one-two of the season
Toni Bou wins in Andorra with two victories and Gabriel Marcelli finishes in second place.

The second round of the 20s6 TrialGP World Championship took place on Saturday in Sant Julià de Lòria, Andorra, and the Repsol Honda HRC riders experienced great success. Toni Bou took the overall win for the day, while Gabriel Marcelli secured second place.
Bou delivered a flawless performance. On the first lap, he took the lead from the very first sections and never relinquished it. With very few mistakes and managing to clear sections where other competitors incurred penalties, Bou earned the first 20 points of the day.
Before tackling the second lap, Bou participated in Super Pole, where a mistake prevented him from completing a section and relegated him to third position in the starting order for the Final. He reacted by delivering a near-perfect second lap in which he incurred only 3 points. This gave him his second victory of the day, bringing his total to 40 points and giving him the Saturday win.
Marcelli had to fight his way back on the first lap. He started the day with two fiascos that left him at the back of the standings, but completed a great comeback that allowed him to finish the first lap in second position.
In Super Pole, Marcelli was the fastest rider, with a time of 0:25.89.
In the Final, he consolidated his second position from the start. With only 11 penalty points, Marcelli took second place for Saturday.
Bou extends his championship lead to 120 points, while Marcelli has 90 points, in second place. Sant Julià de Lòria hosts another day of action on Sunday.

“I’m very happy, because this is a round that’s usually a bit tricky for me, but today things went very well from the start. I felt very comfortable and I think I completed two very good laps, especially the Final and the Super Final, with only one penalty point, although we then picked up two more for time penalties. The whole team worked very well, we deserved it, and it was a great victory. Tomorrow will be a tough and demanding day, but we hope to continue in the same vein.”

“I’m very happy with today. Second place is always a good result, although we know we can still aim for more. The most positive thing is that I felt very comfortable on the bike and was able to make a good comeback. In Race 1, we had a bit of bad luck at the start due to a penalty, and in Race 2, I made a decision not to take any risks, which ultimately didn’t work out as we expected. Even so, I managed to change my race strategy, come back, win the Super Pole, and finish second in the Final. We finished the day in second place, with a good feeling, a points advantage, and fighting for the win, so I’m very satisfied.”

"Toni was incredible today. We knew he was racing at home, and that always adds pressure. Today he showed he's on another level, from the first lap to the Final and the Super Final. He rode impressively. Gabri also did a great job. He started with some difficulties, but I'm very happy with his ability to react. On other occasions, a start like that would have affected him more, but he managed to recover, regain confidence, and fight for the front positions. I think he learned a lot in Japan, and he showed it today. I'm very satisfied with the work done by both of them."
